Cost of Living in Los Cabos
cost of living might actually make a difference. In 2024, 173k pesos in NYC is equal to a lifestyle of 64k pesos in Los Cabos. Add the beach, the view, the clean ocean air, breezes, whale watching in Vacation Central, etc….And why WOULDN’T you want to buy a home or condo in Los Cabos, anyways? Do we have your attention yet?
Living in Cabo San Lucas is a dream come true for many. As of December 31, 2022, authorities in Los Cabos reported 14,679 foreigners now have their primary residence in Los Cabos. The unique combination of stunning beaches, world-class amenities, and a vibrant culture truly make it an ideal place to buy a property. Whether for full-time occupancy, or for generating a secondary income through vacation, or short/long-term rentals. It is considered a personal piece of paradise for all expats who made the ‘move’.

The Los Cabos Real Estate market growth in Baja California Sur continues to soar!
In 2023 and into 2024, we have seen the Los Cabos market stabilize after experiencing an increase in sales of 30%-40% and more over the last couple of years, depending on community and available amenities. This Market growth offers investors the reassurance to continue building a greater community for full-time residents as well as those who love to vacation in Los Cabos. What Real Estate Investors love about Cabo besides its close proximity and access to U.S.airports, weather, and safety, is that it is primarily a cash market. A market with many great opportunities.
December (Diciembre), 2023
Well, another year has nearly come to an end as globally, we all look ahead to 2024, and the potential it ushers in!
In a destination as fashionable and universally appealing as Los Cabos, things are looking bright. Los Cabos draws the big crows because of it’s natural beauty. And, of course, the fact numerous vacation resorts here are in the top 10 on sites such as Forbes Business, Trip Advisor, Expedia, etc. In addition, experts point out that monied buyers are looking to invest in real estate now that the market has softened substantially.
In addition, our local industry appears to be keeping up with trends
“The new core ideas of luxury real estate are eco-friendliness and sustainability,” writes the team of AZ Big Living. “Our growing awareness of our responsibility towards the planet is largely responsible for this change.” And the world is paying attention!
If you’ve been here before, you already know! Every day of life is full of opportunity for joining in events and activities!
But just in case life throws you a hurdle:

Please enjoy our blog updates noted below and to the far right menu. We don’t update monthly due to scheduling, especially during summer months (June through mid-October). This year, however, even with Covid Lockdowns of the last few years, we’ve had record-breaking tourism numbers. AND Real Estate sales. Mind you, this area is considered a vacation (2nd Home) resort area. Yet, even with the financial distress up north, visitor numbers are providing a booming economy for this tourism driven area. Keeping us extremely busy and on-our-toes! We’ll add updates to keep you abreast of area growth and development as often as possible. So come back and check for updates!

JUST A FRIENDLY REMINDER; for your safety and ours!
A regular complaint of MX nationals, and permanent residents is the ability of tourists/vacationers to apparently leave their common sense, clothing, and manners either back home or on the cruise ship they came in on. May we suggest as our highly valued visitors, and potential customers or even future residents, that you ensure everyone in your party has all their wits about them at all times?
Remember; you ARE away from home;
have valid ID at all times. You ARE in a foreign country, so laws (and punishments)are different than you may be used to. You ARE leaving an impression those coming in after your return home will be judged by. And you ARE not able to behave as if you’re in an all-inclusive resort while walking through town among local families, shopping at malls, or eating/drinking on the marina.
The municipal police here will attempt to leave you to your own wits and standards, but once their attention is demanded, many-many things can go wrong for non-residents, including immediate deportation.

How Can a Foreigner Own in Mexico?
How to Calculate USD to MXpeso on the spot in 2022-2023!
Take the Peso amount; divide it in HALF. Now remove 1 zero. poof; APPROXIMATE USD amount you’re about to spend. We say ‘approximate’ because the exchange rate changes daily if not hourly. But in 2023, you’ll be extremely close in your calculations. SO 1500 MXpesos…divide that in half; 750 pesos…NOW take away 1 zero, and that cute little statue will cost you APPROX $75 USD
A cappuccino at breakfast is 60MXpesos..Divide that in half; 30 MXpesos. Take away a zero; Your coffee will be approx. $3 USD
An average dinner out for 2 is about 1200MXpesos…Divide that in half; 620…take away a zero….Your dinner bill will be approx. $60USD. (side thought; it’s alcoholic beverages that will affect your total dinner bill hugely; so monitor your consumption if on a budget). And don’t forget to tip 15%!!!
